VOTES FOR WATTS

VOTE NOW TO FUND COMMUNITY PROJECTS IN WATTS!

Help WLCAC reinvest City of LA dollars in Watts!

The Los Angeles City Council voted to divest funds from LAPD and dedicated millions to the 15th Council District (CD15), which includes Watts. The CD15 Councilman actually voted against this community reinvestment, but he now decides where more than $12 million will be spent for our district.

The only way we can have a say in how that money is spent in our community is through YOUR VOTE! We have this one and only opportunity to point those dollars directly to residents in Watts.

WLCAC's ideas were selected for the CD15 competition, and we need YOUR VOTE to win and help Watts residents! YOUR VOTE will help our neighbors with critical economic and social support that has been scarce during the pandemic.

WLCAC proposes to send every dollar we can back to our neighbors through 2 projects:

ANGEL FUNDS: 250 people in need will each receive $400 in flexible Angel Funds as a one-time emergency payment, along with connections to resources for self-sufficiency.

COMMUNITY LEADER INTERNSHIPS: 27 youth (age 15-21) from Gonzaque Village and Nickerson Gardens will work with the community for 10 weeks this summer, earning $3,600 each while also gaining mentorship, life skills, employment training, and civic engagement coaching.
